Life-Changing-Day In A Woman’s Journey
Mia Pauwels, a 41-year-old single mom from Bermuda decides to participate of my Ultimate Girls Getaway Contest, she writes:
“When my daughter rolls her eyes and asks me: – Mom, you’re not going to wear THAT, are you? Well, that says enough! Monica, please bring the sexy back! Since my divorce, I’ve kissed too many frogs. Your Little Black Dress Contest would really boost my self-confidence.”
A fresh new look fits right in with Mia’s desire for reinvention. From the 30 emails received, I select hers as the winner, we speak on the phone and I hit the stores to shop for the perfect outfit. Fast forward to the Ultimate Girls Getaway weekend, Mia is now listening to my presentation “The Magic Power of Style” at the Fairmont Chateau Montebello.
After the workshop we meet for her personal style coaching session to play with fabulous clothes, shoes and accessories.
We revealed Mia’s new look at the Ultimate Girls Getaway cocktail party. That’s when the ladies saw her magic transformation: a beautiful woman expressing her true self with confidence, power and style (oh-la-la!)
“Wow! Talk about change Monica… Words are not enough to thank you! Your work was true nourishment for my self-esteem! My daughter loves the transformation! I’ve received great positive feedback and have turned plenty of heads while out in my new black dress! There’s a big shift taking place on my personal and professional life. I’m forever grateful.” – Mia Pauwels
This fun-life-changing-contest wouldn’t have been a reality without the loving help of Nadja & Veronica Piatka. Thank you both for supporting my idea, your willingness to make this project happen and your dedication for empowering women is truly inspiring. I also want to express my deep gratitude to professional photographer Wanda Malfara for having captured all the action through the beautiful event pictures featured here.
It’s said that it takes a village to raise a child, and likewise, when I think about everyone’s contribution to making this contest a reality, a whole community of women is living through us. Here I want to acknowledge all the hearts that have made Mia’s transformation possible directly or indirectly, your commitment to doing your best, your support for one another, your courage to live life to the fullest: you know who you are.
